Inside Scoop: A New Platform for Emerging Design Talent

Badiani Gelato has transformed into an unlikely incubator for emerging design talent. You will find Inside Scoop, a curated pop-up experience, offering five independent designers a rare commodity in today's fashion landscape: space, visibility and genuine market feedback.

Founded by Serena Lena and Francesco Pinci through their agencies Serena Relations and Starfish, the pop-up addresses a fundamental challenge facing emerging creatives. Many arrive from international Fashion Weeks with strong visions but lack the infrastructure to translate creative integrity into commercial reality. The pop-up features daily activations where designers connect directly with buyers, press, influencers and the public. It's a business lab where real-time reactions inform strategic decisions, offering insights that online platforms and traditional retail settings don’t provide.

This isn't a fleeting experiment. The Inside Scoop marks the beginning of a travelling format designed to bring curated spaces for emerging talent to different cities. The inaugural lineup centres sustainability without sacrificing innovation.

ANEMA proves that vegan accessories can be both beautiful and transparent. Each bag is crafted from organic or plant-derived materials, apple, cactus, corn, orange, hemp, prioritising cruelty-free production and environmental respect.

POET-LAB, founded by Giuseppe Laciofano, redefines genderless luxury streetwear through poetic minimalism. Born from Laciofano's journey through cancer survival and transforming discrimination into strength, the London-based brand crafts resilience from repurposed deadstock fabrics, championing freedom of self-expression.

Silvia Șerban brings over 25 years of Romanian fashion expertise, merging architectural tailoring with expressive minimalism. Her Wearing Attitude Against Usual mentality encourages women to wield fashion as a tool for empowerment through bold colours, sculpted silhouettes and graphic contrasts.

Brian Clarke's aesthetic merges classic British tailoring with subtle theatrical flair. His menswear balances sharp structure with unexpected details, creating pieces that feel distinctive yet effortless, elevating tradition through contemporary expression.

Nyny Ryke, an Italian-Togolese brand founded in 2024, creates ethical fashion with genuine impact. All collections are artfully handmade using traditional techniques, with at least 80% of materials sourced from sustainable or upcycled origins. The brand gives back through patternmaking and sewing courses for local tailors in Togo.

The fashion industry loves to talk about supporting emerging talent, but meaningful action remains scarce. The Inside Scoop offers something increasingly rare: a physical space where designers can test ideas, gather feedback and build relationships beyond Instagram algorithms. In an industry often gatekept by connections and capital, initiatives like this prove that independent platforms can create genuine pathways for underrepresented voices.

The Inside Scoop is open to the public until 18th December at Badiani Gelato, Notting Hill, W11 3HZ, from 12PM to 6PM.
